Brewery 't Gansje
Zeeland’s smallest tasting room
'Zeeland beer brewed with passion' is proudly displayed on the windows. Small tasting room in the old centre of Goes since 1903. Always home to many pubs since then. Fits like a tailor-made suit for microbrewery 't Gansje - the little Goose - since 2018. Playful reference to brewery the Goose, founded in 1644 and closed 258 years later in 1902. ‘t Gansje brews small batches on sight. But always 10 beers on tap and more in bottles. Ingrid brews, Ben recommends all her beers with great enthusiasm.
The brewmaster does not limit herself in the number of varieties. Sticks her own name on two of them: Ingrid's Pale Ale and Ingrid's Imperial Stout. The Pale Ale has a refreshing hoppy flavour, a mild bitterness and hint of fruitiness. The Stout has a sweet taste full of chocolate, caramel and coffee. Also special are the Elder Tripel with elderflower and tangerine and the Oak, a hearty blonde enriched with oak chips on brown rum.
On the north side of Grote Markt, take the side street the Oprit Grote Markt . Come out after 50 metres on the Magdalenastraat with an immediate view of 't Gansje on the left. Turn right into Koningsstraat and 50 metres later you will be on the Bierkade on the city harbour of Goes.
