Een bijzondere craftbeer selectie
For many beer lovers, autumn is all about Bock beers. It is a special type of mostly dark beer with sweet and malty flavours. Over the years, brewing special Bock beers in the autumn has developed into a rich tradition in the Netherlandds. An excellent opportunity for craft brewers to show off their competences in a good sense and distinguish themselves with quirky flavors and scents.
We have selected four outstanding ones that each try to catch the autumn in their beer. With its deep maroon colour, ‘D’n Ossebock’ (‘the Oxbok’) of Brouwerij Muifel combines slightly sweet and bitter with hints of chocolate and caramel. The rich variety of malts in ‘Bokkige Boom’ (‘Billy Goat Tree’) by Stadsbrouwerij 013 bring a malty scent with caramel, coffee and nutty tones.
Brewed during warm summer days ‘Sexy Motherbocker’ by brouwerij Oersoep is tastiest on a chilly autumn day to fully enjoy its rich, warm, and earthy flavors. ‘Pumpkin Party’ by ‘Gebrouwen door Vrouwen’ surprises in many ways. Its bright orange colour reflects the pumpkin inside while the soft-creamy taste brings hints of nutmeg, cinnamon and anise.
